We use the social media accounts of the National Enforcement Authority primarily for providing information. We share news and other interesting topics related to our activities on the channels.

The communications unit of the National Enforcement Authority maintains the accounts. We do not discuss individual cases or provide legal advice on social media.

Because the social media channels are intended for discussing topics related to our field of activity, prohibited discussion topics include:

  • Insulting the other participants in the discussion, swearing, racism
  • Inciting others to commit an offence
  • Hate messages against individuals, organisations, countries or peoples
  • Advertising and marketing products and services
  • Religious and political statements

In addition to these, texts that may meet the statutory definition of dissemination of information violating personal privacy or defamation laid down in the Criminal Code of Finland are also prohibited.

Neither may anyone’s enforcement matters be discussed in National Enforcement Authority Finland’s social media channels in a manner that permits the identification of the individual.

Inappropriate messages can be removed, and a user that violates the rules repeatedly can be blocked from communicating via the channel. The author will not be notified about the removal of the message or the block.

We are not responsible for the content and maintenance of the personal communication channels of the personnel.

It is not possible to institute a specific case via social media. More information about handling matters with the National Enforcement Authority Finland can be found on our website.
