Management and rules of procedure

The work of National Enforcement Authority Finland is governed by the rules of procedure ratified by its Director. The rules of procedure have been published in the Statute Book of Finland (in Finnish).

National Enforcement Authority Finland’s units also have their own rules of procedure ratified by the head of the unit. The Central Administration’s rules of procedure are ratified by the Director. The rules of procedure give more detailed regulations on the units’ organisation, along with the units’ duties and how they are to be carried out.

Director General and Deputy Director

The Director General of National Enforcement Authority Finland decides on matters falling within the competence of the enforcement service that are not provided for in the Authority’s rules of procedure or assigned to another authority.

The Director General is assisted and deputised by the Deputy Director with equal powers to decide on matters in the remit of the Director.

National Enforcement Authority Finland has an executive team, as well as an enforcement executive team for operational support.
