Financial Counselling Clinics
Financial Counselling Clinics are a low-threshold service from which citizens can get financial advice from professionals in different fields without the need to make an appointment. Representatives of the National Enforcement Authority Finland give advice on matters related to enforcement on a general level through the Financial Counselling Clinics. They are not able to comment on the situations of individual citizens.
The Financial Counselling Clinics serve their customers anonymously. Customers can disclose their identity, however, in which case their enforcement matters can be viewed in National Enforcement Authority Finland’s information system with their consent.
The bodies involved in each Financial Counselling Clinic vary locally, but most clinics employ at least experts in financial and debt counselling and representatives of Kela and the social services in addition to Enforcement Authority personnel.
